"Hunting Is Conservation" on RMEF Social Media
MISSOULA, Mont.-Hunters deserve to be proud of their contributions to wildlife, habitat and resource conservation-and the American public deserves to know how it all works together. To help, the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation is using its social media platforms to share a series of facts illustrating how "Hunting Is Conservation."

RMEF President and CEO David Allen said, "America's richness of wildlife, habitat and resources exists today largely because of hunters. The value of hunters is growing, not shrinking, as modern society loses its connections with the outdoors and traditional ways of life."
"We want to help close that communication gap by emphasizing some points of pride for hunters and all citizens who appreciate wildlife and wild places," he added.
Allen encouraged audiences to share the facts within their own social media networks.
About the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation:
RMEF is leading a conservation initiative that has protected or enhanced habitat on over 6 million acres-an area larger than Yellowstone, Grand Canyon, Glacier, Yosemite, Rocky Mountain and Great Smoky Mountains national parks combined. RMEF also is a strong voice for hunters in access, wildlife management and conservation policy issues. RMEF members, partners and volunteers, working together as Team Elk, are making a difference all across elk country. Join us at www.rmef.org or 800-CALL ELK.
