Register now for Salamonie Lake spring break day camp
Children ages 7 to 11 are invited to Salamonie Lake for the fun and educational Green and Growing Day Camp, April 3-5.
Green and Growing Day Camp is a workshop where children will learn about growing plants through hands-on activities. The camp is led by interpretive naturalists from Upper Wabash Interpretive Services with help from Indiana Master Gardeners and Huntington County Purdue Extension. The camp features indoor and outdoor activities, including daily hikes, games, crafts and a one-hour session on pellet gun shooting led by a certified 4-H shooting sports instructor.
Camp hours are 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. each day.
A snack will be provided. Children need to bring a sack lunch with drink each day.
The camp requires a $50 participation fee. Fees will be adjusted for families with multiple children attending. Families can also ask about single-day or two-day registrations. The property gate is not charging admission at this time. Parents must fill out health and media release forms on the first day.
