I have fished hard at night during the summer for the last five years but last night I experienced something I have never seen before. Either I have not paid attention to it or I just happened to be there at the right time but either way I was just curious if anybody might know what it was.
When we got near a bank we could see little "dots" glowing back at us from our black lights. They seemed to be about a foot apart and we could see them as far as the black light would reach. When we shined the spotlight at them we could not see anything. They were mostly about 6 inches on the bank from the water's edge and usually in rocks. My GUESS is that they were crawfish, however, we never actually saw anything. I dont know if crawfish would even be doing this during this time of year but if that is what they were it would seem that this would be a good area to fish. If anybody thinks they know what they were I would sure like to hear it. Got me baffled. Thanks and stay safe.
