2011 Mass. Fall Trout Stocking
Autumn
anglers will be pleased to learn that fall trout stocking is just
getting underway. This fall, 62,000 rainbow trout will be allocated
among the five wildlife management districts across the state. The
rainbow trout will average over 12 inches in length. The fish are grown
at DFW hatcheries in Belchertown, Montague, Sandwich, and Sunderland.
Water temperatures and flow levels permitting, trout stocking will be
completed by mid-October. A list of trout stocked waters can be found
