Fished the FOM tournament Friday and Saturday. Early bite caught 3 keepers on sammy american shad on main lake points and rocky shorelines. Caught a 17" on a chatterbait, black/blue.
Day of the tournament, Sat., 3 keepers, 7.3 lbs. 9th place. One caught on Rico, other 2 caught on finesse worm, green pumpkin on laydowns. We caught 25 bass between 12-14" both days. Mainly on wood and on the main lake, points and secondary points. Caught fish on shakeyhead greenpumpkin worm, black/blue/jig, chatterbait, rico, and baby brushhog. First place 14.85,
big fish 4.03lbs., second 13.12lbs, third 11.26. 33 boats, only five boats did not weigh in a fish. Best pattern on the lake was jigs on end of laydowns or any visible structures, on or near main lake points.
Next tournament is Nolin, 7-15 and I need help. Never bass fished there before.
