There were three boat trailers in the parking lot. One guy was bass fishing. Witnessed two other boats trolling for trout. Along the walkway near the marina area there were six or seven people fishing. One amazing thing that I witnessed was a man and his wife fishing together on valentines day. There are a lot of couples that could take a lesson from those two. Over heard some casual laughing between the two. Now for me, someone should have made a valentine card with those two on the front jacket. They were just tickled to be with each other. Ok enough with the mushy stuff.
The following picture is of me experimenting with my phone camera. I found out that it will take pictures back at me also. Experimenting with the camera is one of the reasons I have that goofy look. The other reason is that the look just comes natural. This is a last years trout. Nice one !!
The above picture shows another trout with some Gulp floating salmon eggs in its mouth. I used them over for the next fish. That's one of the things I like about them. They don't get robbed from the hook as easy as the dough. The below picture is just a shot of another trout in the water. Wanted to see how that showed up. Not bad. Kind of cool really.
Guy in the boat on the left is bass fishing. Didn't see him with anything or even attempt to set a hook. Boat on right is trolling. Didn't see them pull any fish out of the water either.
I ended up catching 5 trout and missing at least 8 to 10 bites. I wish I could think of something to blame the misses on like I had my hand in the trail mix jar or a bug was in my eye or something.
Hey, it was a great day. If I had forgot my trail mix it still would have been great. If I had forgot my cell phone it still would have been great. If I had forgot my rods and bait it still was a fine day at the lake side.
