Frank......The grub is good on the bare peagravel points....walleye and smallmoutb will be on em during times the moon is up. Fish the grub on the fall like a worm.
Needless to say it is not good around banks with tree laps ,brush and stumps....on those banks , put a worm or jig in the thick stuff....but if it is a clean bank like the banks around Holly Bay.... you might lose a few grubs, but they are good at night.....4 inch fat albert chartruese.........There is a walleye spot I fished last June and caught 5 walleye on the redfin wakebait.....they averaged 4 to 6 lbs.... As you idle out of Holly Bay you turn left to craigs creek or turn right to go towards grove....Just cross the lake and start on the point and fish all the points and pockets back towards the dam...... the walleye will bunch in one area and I caught those 5 in a 50 yard stretch.....the noisee on the bank will tell the tale...if it sounds like bowling balls are hitting the water use the wakebait....if not....fish grub...jerk bait.....crank bait...worm and spinnerbait....if the walleye are up you will catch'em.. GOD BLESS
