Hey Mike
We all know that we cant predict the fish, however, I can guarantee you that your time on the water with Dave will be enjoyable. I can recommend that you use Dave for what he is....he is a wealth of knowledge about fishing and the big lakes in particular. I have fished with Dave several times and I learn stuff each time. (FYI Dave....I forgot how to tie that special loop knot...I cant remember it and needed last Friday night). Dont be afraid to drill him with questions and bring your map with you. He wont pick up a rod very often (if at all) but if he does you can learn alot about presentation too. One more thing, there is a large compartment in the front of his boat.....yell "Snake!" and when he turns to look...scarf whatever you can out of that compartment!
Have fun and I am looking forward to your report. There is a 6 pound smallie out there that I have been hunting for three years. If you all catch him we will need pics.
Buck
